There has been a ton of San Antonio Spurs news on the international basketball circuit as Team USA traveled down under to play two games against the Boomers of Australia.
America took the first game of the series 102-86, but Patty Mills and the Boomers bounced back to claim a 98-94 victory on Saturday morning.
Mills dropped a cool, game-high 30 points including Australia’s final 10 points to help his squad to a tight win in front of 52.079 fans in Melbourne.
The Australians had never beaten Team USA in international competition, and the Americans were on a 78-game winning streak in major competitions and exhibitions entering this game.
