Patty Mills has started a foundation focused on bringing clean drinking water to indigenous communities in his native Australia. Mills has led charitable foundations in Australia before and the Community Water Project is the most recent of these efforts.
A special individual both on and off the court, Mills continues to make an impact around the world through his play and his charitable contributions. Coming off of a FIBA World Cup run with the Australian National team, Mills is now making a difference off the court and in communities.
Having someone like Mills, who is only the indigenous basketball player to play for Australia at the Olympics, return and give back means a lot to these communities, as you can see in the video above.
