San Antonio Spurs: LaMarcus Aldridge joins Team LeBron for All-Star Game

LaMarcus Aldridge became the lone representative from the San Antonio Spurs to join the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. Fellow Spur Manu Ginobili barely missed the cut, even though he has acted as a role player in the 2017-18 season, along with being age 40.

For this year’s game, the players with the highest vote total from the Eastern and Western Conferences, which was LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, respectively, become the team captains. They must select four of the voted-in starters, followed by choosing from the reserves.

Before Thursday’s NBA on TNT broadcast, Team LeBron and Team Stephen were announced.
