The rehabilitation process has taken it’s toll on Spurs rookie Lonnie Walker IV, who continues to inch closer to his NBA debut. Walker suffered a right medial meniscus tear in a preseason game against the Detroit Pistons in early October.
Walker’s original timetable for return was labeled at six-to-eight weeks depending on how he responded to treatment. Now on the cusp of his return to the Spurs lineup, the rook has been assigned to the Austin Spurs to get his feet wet and prepare for regular season action.
Though there’s no definite return date, Walker mentioned on an Instagram live video that he’d be returning on Nov.
