It was a tough week for the San Antonio Spurs with starting small forward Rudy Gay sidelined with some nagging soreness in his right heel. The 13-year veteran is continuing his battle with heel injuries after tearing his achilles in Sacramento the season before coming to the Alamo City.
While some suspect that the time missed was nothing more than precautionary move by head coach Gregg Popovich and the Spurs medical staff, it was concerning to see Gay sidelined this early in the season.
Luckily, that’ll change as San Antonio heads to Northern California to take on the Sacramento Kings.
