San Antonio Spurs fans will have a new superstar to root for this season as the Raptors sent their four-time All-Star to south Texas in exchange for Kawhi Leonard.
DeRozan was named third team All-NBA in 2016-17 and jumped to the second team with an impressive 2017-18 campaign. Those honors suggest that DeRozan is at least among the league’s top 15 players.
However, Ben Golliver and Rob Mahoney of Sports Illustrated are seemingly lower on DeRozan than the sports media consensus as he ranked number 30 on their recent top 100 list.
Even though DeRozan hasn’t mastered the three-point shot, he is undeniably effective on the offensive end.
