Kawhi Leonard might not be the most revered player in San Antonio Spurs history after this offseason’s events. Everything finally culminated in the season-long saga over his mysterious quadriceps injury, with the trade of him and Danny Green to the Toronto Raptors for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick.
This closed Leonard’s seven years in San Antonio, six of which saw him rise to become one of the NBA’s best players. He accomplished accolades along the way, as well, to support his case among LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and others.
