It’s all about 3-point shooting in the NBA. Teams formed their rosters to become more athletic, with a trend away from players that work under the basket and toward the 3-point arc. The San Antonio Spurs were one of the last teams that adopted this, even though they started the season with Pau Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge and worked inside-out.
Midway through the 2017-18 season, the Spurs rank No. 19 in 3-point percentage at 35.7. They also take the fifth fewest shots behind the arc at 24.6 per game.
As for individual performance, the Silver and Black have over half of their roster above 30 percent from 3-point range.
