The Rockets are officially filing a protest with the NBA on the outcome of the Tuesday’s 135-133 2OT Spurs win over a dunk by James Harden that was missed by the officials and not counted in the score. Per ESPN:
Houston had been optimistic in the wake of the loss that the NBA office would take action without a protest being necessary. However, sources said the Rockets will file a protest to ensure that the NBA office will have to make a ruling on its ongoing investigation.
The protest is based on the misapplication of the rules regarding that a made basket is worth two points and the score was not recorded correctly, sources said.
