Postgame Wrap: Weird loss for Spurs, as Duncan doesn’t record a rebound vs Pelicans

NEW ORLEANS – Tony Parker was as surprised as anyone that his longtime teammate Tim Duncan would fail to record a rebound for the first time in his career on Friday night.

“That’s because we played New Orleans” said Parker. “It’s always something weird [when we play them]. That’s very rare.”

It was rare, but true, as Duncan would only score six points in 19 minutes in the 104-90 loss to the Pelicans.

Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 22 points, while LaMarcus Aldridge added 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Express-News Spurs reporters Jabari Young and Jeff McDonald discuss what went wrong for the Spurs in the loss, and hear from Parker and Aldridge.
