SALT LAKE CITY – The Spurs opened the Utah Summer League with a 90-69 win over the Jazz on Monday night.
Kyle Anderson connected on 10 of 16 shots for a team-high 25 points, adding seven rebounds and three assists, while Jonathon Simmons finished with 18 points in 28 minutes.
Anderson started slow, missing some easy baskets early in the first quarter. He picked it up in the second, recording five points, a rebound, assist and a steal, helping the Spurs outscore the Jazz 26-16 in the quarter.
“We started finding some teammates,” said Anderson. “We started getting stops and it just made it easy for us once we buckled down on defense.
