Postgame Wrap: Leonard takes the green light; Spurs beat Timberwolves

MINNEAPOLIS – Kawhi Leonard nailed a 25-foot three-pointer in the fourth quarter with 2:25 remaining to put the finishes touches on a dominant night.

Leonard scored a game-high 31 points for the Spurs in a 105-91 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“By this point, it’s clear that he’s a confident player,” said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. “He knows he’s got a green light. We call his number every now and then, but he does a lot of stuff on his own. He’s getting pretty good in pick and roll, so he just advances his game every year a little bit in some different fashion.
