MILWAUKEE — In the wake of the best December in franchise history, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has been named the Western Conference’s Coach of the Month.
The Spurs went 14-2 last month, including a 10-0 mark at the AT&T Center. They allowed only two opponents to surpass 100 points in 16 December games, surrendering an average of 87.1 points.
That was a league-low for opponent scoring during the month, six points better than the 93.2 points per game second-place Cleveland surrendered.
Orlando’s Scott Skiles earned honors in the Eastern Conference.
