By now, after 14 seasons in the NBA, Tony Parker is accustomed to criticism. Indeed, after playing all of those campaigns under Gregg Popovich, with increased scrutiny from making the playoffs ever year in a career that, despite all his success, hasn’t always gone smoothly, it comes with the territory.
So it was that Parker brushed off questions about his uneven play at EuroBasket 2015 even as France powered through an undefeated finish in group play, and crushed Turkey in its first elimination game last weekend.
“That France wins, that’s the most important, not that I play well,” Parker said prior to Tuesday’s quarterfinal game with Latvia.
