Serbian center Nikola Milutinov , the Spurs’ first-round pick in this year’s draft, will continue his career with Greek power Olympiacos, the club announced on Saturday.
The Spurs reportedly gave Milutinov, 20, their blessing to sign a three-year deal with “multiple NBA outs” according to EuroHoops.net.
Olympiacos liked Milutinov (6-11, 220) enough to pay an undisclosed buyout to his former club, Partizan Belgrade. He averaged 9.8 points and 7.6 rebounds in the Adriatic League last season.
He’ll face a substantial improvement in competition at Olympiacos, which won back-to-back European titles in 2011-12 and 2012-13 and reached last season’s final.
