MILWAUKEE — By the end of shootaround Monday morning in Milwaukee, Spurs guard Ray McCallum said he still wasn’t sure if he would be getting the call to start for the sidelined Tony Parker against the Bucks.
He vowed to be ready either way.
Formally recalled again from the Development League earlier in the day, the 24-year-old McCallum stayed late after the walkthrough at the Bradley Center to run through some details with assistant coaches.
“You have to be ready at all times,” said McCallum, who has made 14 appearances this season. “That’s kind of how my career has always gone, my first two years (in Sacramento) not knowing when I was going to play.
