The San Antonio Spurs pulled off the best free-agent signing in franchise history by securing a commitment from LaMarcus Aldridge, but their offseason is far from over.
Consequent to Aldridge’s four-year, $80 million contract, the Spurs were forced to surrender some important pieces in Aron Baynes, Cory Joseph and Marco Belinelli.
They managed to keep Danny Green, but Tiago Splitter is a member of the Atlanta Hawks. Baynes is headed to the Detroit Pistons. Joseph is off to the Toronto Raptors, and Belinelli is going to the Sacramento Kings. Each of the latter three received a contract in free agency worth at least $6 million per year.
