LaMarcus Aldridge of San Antonio Spurs held out due to back spasms vs. Los Angeles Lakers

The San Antonio Spurs held out forward LaMarcus Aldridge from Friday's matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers due to back spasms.

The club hasn't divulged the severity of Aldridge's injury, but the Spurs replaced him in the starting lineup with veteran David West.

Aldridge currently leads San Antonio in rebounding (8.9 per game) and ranks No. 2 in scoring (15.9 points per game).

Aldridge missed two games earlier in the season due to a sprained ankle, and another because of back spasms, but he played 22 minutes Thursday against the Phoenix Suns, posting seven points on 3-of-9 shooting.
