Kawhi Leonard’s recent surge after a one-game bout with the stomach flu last season has seen him return with some of his most consistent play of the season.
Leonard went for 27 points, tied for his second-highest scoring effort of the season, in the Spurs’ 114-95 victory over Washington Wednesday night.
It marked Leonard’s third consecutive 20-point outing. During that three-game span the Spurs have won by an average margin of 27 points per game as Leonard has averaged 23.7 points per game, shooting 60.5 percent from the field, 53.8 percent of his 3-pointers and 94.7 percent from the foul line.
