KAWHI LEONARD NAMED WESTERN CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

SAN ANTONIO (March 6, 2016) – The NBA today announced that San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 29, through Sunday, March 6. Cleveland’s LeBron James was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

This is Leonard’s second time receiving the honor, both during the 2015-16 season.

Leonard averaged 27.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.67 steals in 37.3 minutes as the Spurs went 3-0 for the week, extending their win streak to eight games. He started the week off by registering 27 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals in 36 minutes in a 97-81 victory over Detroit on March 2.
