Like many young big men coming into the NBA, Jahlil Okafor expressed his admiration for Tim Duncan while growing up.
The Philadelphia 76ers rookie center explained how he watched Duncan in high school and college, studying his game. Okafor finally got his opportunity to play against the man he idolized on Saturday night when the Philadelphia 76ers visited AT&T Center.
“We are here in the locker room drawing up the game plan and you see who’s guarding who,” said Okafor following the 92-83 loss to the Spurs. “You see Duncan, and you see my name, saying ‘I’m going to be sticking him.
