SALT LAKE CITY – Still forlorn, and maybe a little jet lagged, Spurs guard Danny Green touched down in Utah at 10 a.m Tuesday, in plenty of time tipoff against the Jazz.
He had spent the evening at NRG Stadium in Houston, having his heart ripped out alongside thousands of other North Carolina fans.
Nearly 24 hours later, he was still stunned at the buzzer-beater that gave Villanova – and not his Tar Heels – the NCAA national championship.
“I feel bad for the guys,” said Green, who won a championship at UNC in 2009. “They had a chance to experience something pretty great.
