SALT LAKE CITY – Kyle Anderson was minutes removed from helping the Spurs to their second victory in the Utah Summer League when he was informed of the news.
Anderson, who finished with 23 points, eight rebounds and three assists in the Spurs’ 95-91 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, had no idea forward Boris Diaw was traded to the Jazz.
“Oh wow,” said Anderson reacting to the news that Diaw was now his ex-teammate.
The Spurs shipped Diaw to clear cap space, as the team agreed to terms with center Pau Gasol earlier in the week.
