SAN ANTONIO – When Manu Ginobili scored 22 points in his first game back on the court after missing 12 contests following testicular surgery, it seemed he would have little problem picking up where he left off before he suffered the severe groin injury.
But in the three games since he tallied a season high against the Sacramento Kings on March 5, Ginobili has missed 14 of 17 shots over that span while averaging 2.6 points.
On Tuesday morning after the Spurs shootaround, Ginobili suggested his struggles could continue while he works himself back into shape.
“The 22 was a complete anomaly, completely unexpected,” the Spurs sixth man.
