France struggled early but ultimately had little trouble with Latvia, cruising 84-70 on Tuesday to set up yet another clash with rival Spain in the EuroBasket 2015 semifinals.
It will mark the seventh straight year France and Spain have met in a major tournament, this time with an automatic Olympic berth and a spot in Sunday’s championship game on the line. Their latest battle tips off at 2 p.m. Thursday on NBA TV.
While Spain battled to the final minute against Greece, France pulled away from Latvia with a dominant second half.
Les Bleus trailed for much of the first before Tony Parker, who otherwise struggled, scored nine points in less than two minutes to give them a two-point lead at the break.
