Despite playing with less than full effort, France had little trouble disposing of Israel Thursday in its final group game at EuroBasket, romping 86-61 to remain undefeated.
Israel sat Omri Casspi and several other rotation players in the hopes of avoiding Turkey in the first round of elimination play, which begins on Saturday.
France (5-0) played with only slightly more energy, and couldn’t help but dominate by virtue of its superior talent even as Tony Parker went scoreless. It marked the first time Parker failed to score a point for Les Bleus since 2001, in a game he played just three minutes.
