France bounced back from its crushing loss to Spain in the semifinals of EuroBasket 2015 to beat Serbia 81-68 on Sunday for the bronze medal.
The outcome didn’t mean much considering France, in addition to failing to defend its European championship on home soil, will have to qualify for next summer’s Olympics. But Les Bleus still went hard for the result, outscoring Serbia by 14 over the middle two quarters to snap an early deadlock.
The biggest part of that push came late in the second quarter, when former Spur Nando De Colo fueled a 10-0 run that erased a one-point deficit and put France ahead for good.
