Heading into Thursday’s EuroBasket match between France and Israel, the two leaders of Group A were expected to battle for first place in the group, however, from how the national team of Israel approached the game, France was able to secure a comfortable 86-61 win, with Israel electing to rest their three top scorers in the match.
With France establishing a double-digit lead early, the coaching staff was able to limit the minutes of the starters and rely on the depth of the bench, as no starter for Les Bleus had to play more than 22 minutes in the match.
