All along, the Francophiles among Spurs Nation had Tuesday night circled on their calendars. It was supposed to be the night Boris Diaw made his return to the AT&T Center as a member of the Utah Jazz.
Jazz coach Quin Snyder has poured iced coffee all over that idea, announcing at shootaround this morning that Diaw would sit tonight for rest purposes.
Obtained in a July 5 trade the Spurs triggered in order to clear salary cap room for incoming free agent Pau Gasol, Diaw started the first three games of the season for Utah.
