The Summer Spurs bounced back after a loss in their first game of the Utah Summer League. Led by Derrick White’s 21 points and nine assists, they beat the Summer Hawks 103-81 despite resting first round draft pick Lonnie Walker.
White had his second great performance in as many games in Utah, completely dominating the first half and doing enough in the second to get the Summer Spurs their first win. Without Walker IV, White had the ball all to himself with the starting lineup. He knew what to do with it, logging 18 of his 21 points and four of his nine assists for the night in the first two frames.
