The history of the San Antonio Spurs is filled with legendary All-Star’s, from Tim Duncan to Kawhi Leonard, and David Robinson to George Gervin, the Spurs have almost always been well represented in the annual All-Star Game. This historic level of representation has made this year omission all the more surprising.
For the first time since 1997, and only the third time in All-Star game history, the San Antonio Spurs will not have a player representing them at All-Star Weekend. There’s a whole generation of Spurs fans who have grown up seeing one of their teams’ players in one of the biggest weekends of the NBA season.
