SAN ANTONIO – One of the burning questions the Spurs face as they enter the second round of the playoffs is whether point guard Tony Parker can continue the offensive surge he enjoyed against Memphis.
After averaging 10.1 points in the regular season, Parker averaged 16.3 on 53.3 percent shooting against the Grizzlies, his best marks in the playoffs since the Spurs’ 2014 run to the NBA championship. In Game 6 against Memphis, he expertly varied his shot selection en route to 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting.
“He turned that switch on,” said Parker’s backcourt mate, shooting guard Danny Green.
