On Wednesday, rumors began to circulate that the San Antonio Spurs could be open to trading guard Danny Green this offseason. Jabari Young of the San Antonio Express-News recently tweeted this out.
Green is set to earn $10 million next year and trading away him and his contract could help San Antonio gain some salary cap space. This could be very vital if they still plan on making a run at former Clipper and top free agent guard Chris Paul.
San Antonio got some assistance already in the salary cap department when Pau Gasol declined his $16 million player option for next season, but reports say he will be looking to sign a new long-term contract.
