If there has been one major difference in this opening round series between the Spurs and Clippers, bench production would be at the forefront. With the exception of Game 4 (when Austin Rivers hit 7 of 8 shots), the Spurs bench has dominated the Clippers' reserves. The play of point guard Patty Mills has been especially encouraging. Mills missed the first 31 games of the regular season after offseason rotator cuff surgery and then struggled to regain the shooting touch that helped spark the Spurs in the 2014 NBA Finals. In April, Mills started to regain his groove, and that has carried over.
