San Antonio Spurs swingman Kawhi Leonard is still feeling the effects of an eye infection that caused him to miss most of the team's preseason games.
“I’m still not 100 percent,” Leonard said following San Antonio's 121-92 victory in Minnesota on Friday, via Jeff McDonald of MySanAntonio.com.
Leonard says that he still is encountering vision problems that have remained a problem ever since he came down with the infection.
His right eye is currently still sensitive to light and blurry, and he indicates that he hasn't seen much improvement over the past month and a half. Leonard contracted the infection (conjunctivitis) during the San Antonio Spurs' European trip this October.
“There’s really nothing I can do about it,” Leonard said. “I just have to play through it.”
Leonard has done an admirable job working with his problem, remaining a more-than-serviceable force alongside Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and the rest of Gregg Popovich's boys at the AT&T Center.
