MORAGA, Calif. – This past weekend, Saint Mary's Cross Country and Track hosted its seventh-annual Texas Hold'em tournament which benefited both the men and women's programs. The event was a huge success, raising over $37,000 for the teams.
The Soda Activity Center was packed with over 125 attendees and guests who participated in the event. This year's winner was Andy Lineweaver who bested over 100 players to claim the title of "Texas Hold'em Champion." Andy's father, John Lineweaver, won the event five years before.
"This event has grown from a small alumni event into a major fundraiser for our programs," said head coach Marty Kinsey.
