SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Saint Mary's Women's Cross Country Coach, Marty Kinsey, has won the WCC Cross Country Coach of the Year Award. This is the first time a women's cross country head coach has won for the Gaels and only the second time SMC cross country has won this award since 1998, when Randy Rau led the men's team.
At the West Coast Conference Cross Country Championships, the Gaels had three women place in the top 13 for the first time since 1990. It also was the highest finish (3rd) and best team score (89) for the women in 32 years.
