SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — The Saint Mary's cross country teams returned to Golden Gate Park on Friday afternoon for the SF State Invitational. The Gaels team comprised of the runners who didn't compete in the USF Invite last weekend, including six freshman runners getting their first collegiate experience. The men's side combined for a seventh placed finish in the 8k, while the women claimed ninth place in the 6k.
Women: The Saint Mary's women finished ninth out of 12 teams at Golden Gate Park with a total time of 2:01:06.70 and average of 24:13.67. Simon Fraser's runner combined to finish first with an average time of 22:16.
