CLAREMONT, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s women’s tennis team saw a strong finish to the 2016 spring season finally come to an end Saturday, as top-seeded and No. 8 nationally ranked Pepperdine claimed the 2016 West Coast Conference Championship Tournament title with a 4-0 win at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center.
Saint Mary’s had won four in a row and five of its last six before Saturday’s defeat in the championship match. Three Gaels were named to the WCC Championship All-Tournament team. Parminder Kaur and Kareena Manji were named the No. 3 doubles all-tournament team.
