LONG BEACH, Calif. – SMC Women's Tennis responded well to the quick turnaround from San Diego with their own 6-1 victory over Long Beach State on Sunday afternoon.
The Gaels swept the singles competition with only one match going to three sets. Julia Ronney beat Claire Le Du 6-0, 6-2 to start the singles group for Saint Mary's followed by Gabriela Tevez' win over Zuzanna Szczepanska 6-0, 6-1.
Lene Mari Hovda defeated Peppi Ramstedt 6-1, 6-3 and Jocelyn Massey (SMC) def. Arina Babkova (LBSU) 6-2, 6-3 as both Gaels have won their last four matches.
