SAN JOSE, Calif. — Saint Mary's (2-7) started off their week on a high note by sweeping Bay Area rival San Jose State with a final score of 4-0.
Mariia Kozyreva and Hind Abdelouahid provided a quick 6-2 win as the top doubles tandem before Jordan Harris and Danielle McIntyre finished off their opponent 6-4 to claim the doubles point.
In singles action, Kozyreva and Abdelouahid also earned straight set victories to put the Gaels up 3-0. Clementine Clement glided past Miyo Kobayashi 6-1, 6-2 on Court 2 to cement the victory for Saint Mary's.
