MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's (1-5) fought hard on friday afternoon as they took on UCLA, but were ultimately overcome by the Bruins with a final score of 4-0.
The Gaels competed in six singles matches including Mariia Kozyreva who led her opponent 6-4 in the first set of the contest, but dropped the second set 6-4, which then led the match to ultimately go unfinished. Chloe Goyette, Jordan Harris, and Aubane Ville each played hard-fought matches as well, but all fell short to their opposition.
On doubles courts, the doubles duo Hind Abdelouahid and Kozyreva played in a close match against their UCLA competition, but fell 4-2.
