MORAGA, Calif. — After a rainy morning, the Saint Mary’s women’s tennis team (9-6, 4-1 WCC) was able to take the courts in a highly anticipated West Coast Conference match versus San Diego (8-10, 4-1 WCC), handing the Toreros their first conference loss of the season with a 4-2 win.
The day’s action consisted of all six singles contests, as SMC was able to record victories in four of the six matches.
Playing on court 2, Clementine Clement displayed great defense and powerful offense in her straight-set victory over Daniela Morales, 6-2, 6-3.
