MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary's women's tennis team (1-6) won their first two points at home on Saturday against Long Beach, but eventually fell with a final score of 4-2.
Mariia Kozyreva earned a victory in the No. 1 singles spot as she cruised to an easy 6-0, 6-0 win against Wiktoria Rutkowska. Chloe Goyette picked up another win in singles action for the Gaels as she defeated her opponent in a 6-2, 7-5 win. Only one singles contest went unfinished during the matchup.
On the doubles courts, Hind Abdelouahid and Kozyreva teamed up to take down the Long Beach Rutkowska/Meyer duo and collected a 6-3 win.
