SAN JOSE, Calif. — In its lone match of the week, the Saint Mary’s women’s tennis team overcame early adversity to pull through with a 4-2 win over San Jose State (4-4) Friday afternoon at the Almaden Valley Athletic Club.

The Gaels now sit with an overall record of 3-5 and collected their first road win of the dual season.

Saint Mary’s tied the doubles matches after Clementine Clement and Jacqueline Pelletier produced the 6-3 win on court 3 for SMC. Tied 1-1, the top duo of Emma Critser and Danielle McIntyre were dead-locked in a tight battle.
