MORAGA, Calif.— The Saint Mary’s women’s tennis team saw several victories in the consolation brackets along with an appearance in the semifinals and the final of the A Flight in doubles by senior Jana McCord.
In the morning action, the Gaels duo of McCord and freshman Jacqueline Pelletier battled in the final of doubles competition. Facing the top tandem in Karla Popovic and Olivia Hauger of Cal, the Gaels hung tough through the very end, but dropped an 8-3 decision.
Along with her appearance in the doubles final, McCord went back on the courts in a semifinal singles contest against Popovic.
