STANFORD, Calif. — Saint Mary's had a great opening day at the ITA Regionals in Stanford as they won 10 of their 13 matches. The Gaels will have three singles players and two doubles teams in the round of 32 tomorrow.
Freshman Gabriela Tevez had a strong showing on Friday with two singles victories. Tevez defeated Seattle's Alvarez-Sanabria easily 6-1, 6-2 and picked up another win as her next opponent retired while Tevez was up, 6-3, 2-0.
Jordan Harris and No. 68 Mariia Kozyreva will also appear in the round of 32 tomorrow after two-win days.
