MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s women’s tennis team made it four wins in a row Saturday and stayed unbeaten in the West Coast Conference with a 4-1 win over No. 75-ranked Santa Clara at the Tim Korth Tennis Complex.
The Gaels (5-7, 3-0 WCC) lost just one game in taking the doubles point, then earned three wins in singles to clinch the victory. Saint Mary’s finished a 2-0 weekend at home with the win over Santa Clara (7-6, 1-2 WCC) after not playing a match at home all spring.
“That was a really good performance against a very tough Santa Clara team,” said Saint Mary’s associate head coach Simon Harston.
