MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s women’s soccer team has announced its 2016 schedule. A road heavy early portion of the schedule will test the Gaels from the start. SMC will have five opponents on its schedule that reached the NCAA Tournament last season.
“We have a good balance of games we should do well in and challenge us,” said head coach Travis Clarke. “We will be focusing on our chemistry a lot from the start. We want to be tested and want to learn how to win in tough environments for a young team.”
Saint Mary’s has games lined up against Fullerton (Big West champ/NCAA participant), UCSB (Big West regular season co-champ), Eastern Washington (won 12 games), Idaho (Big Sky regular season champ), California (NCAA), Santa Clara (NCAA), Loyola Marymount (NCAA) and BYU (NCAA).
