SAN DIEGO - The Gaels took control in the second half of the game scoring all four goals after training by one in the first half in a 4-2 win over the Toreros.
San Diego went ahead in the 12th minute on a shot from 40 yards out by Josefine Schlichting. She stole around the edge of the circle in the Torero's offensive half, and unleashed a right-footed shot that zipped over keeper Taylor Poland's outstretched hand to make it 1-0
The Gaels evened the score 1-1 at the 48th minute mark. Gaels kept the ball in Toreros territory where shots were taken by Marissa Garcia and Sydney Middaugh got deflected before Salvetti put it in the net with a left footer in the lower left corner of the net.
